Team Lillie!

Lilie is the daughter of Chris "///Lucky" Brewer & Julie Brewer. Lilie is a 4 months old that suffers from 2 congenital heart defects: ASD (atrial septal defect) and VSD (ventricular septal defect). Lilie will require open heart surgery as soon as the Doctors say she's physically able to undergo the operation in the next few weeks. To help support Lilie and her family during this pivotal moment in life, "TEAM LILIE" sitckers (3"x3") and Team Lilie bracelets are available for $5.00 each w/ free postage. Paypal donations can be made to: teamlilie@comcast.net (Please send payment as "GIFT" & make sure to include your name/mailing info) Thank you for the support!

  1. Both of my daughters were born with A.S.D. and both needed to be repaired with surgery, which they both have had, they are 6 and 9 now. They were both treated at Children's Hospital in Washington D.C. and the 6 year old was open heart when she was 2 and the 9 year old was done with a procedure using catheters, inserted in her thighs, when she was 4, so no chest scars. This is a genetic issue on their mothers side that is passed down from generation to generation, so we knew to check, even having fetal echo cardiograms done during pregnancy - but typically if the issue is not detected and repaired it can lead to death in later years. I've gone thru it twice and I know you daughter will be fine after the surgery, but my prayers are with you.

  2. glad to hear your daughters are doing well! its a tough road to say the least. Lilie is having open heart surgery at Vanderbilt Childrens in Nashville TN. We know that Lilies isnt as severe as some but its open heart surgery nonetheless. we are trying to get TEAM LILIE as big as possible so that we can start GIVING BACK to families in the same situation. Congenital heart defects are the #1 birth defect yet there are no mandatory nor accurate test.
